Advertising & ownership disclosure

This page exists so you can weigh our verdicts knowing exactly how we make money and where our interests lie. It is written to satisfy the FTC's requirement that material connections be disclosed clearly and conspicuously, and our own standard, which is stricter.

Affiliate commissions

ProvenCreatorTools participates in affiliate programs for some of the platforms we review. When you click a link marked as affiliate (affiliate links on this site route through our /go/ redirects) and later purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions fund the test lists and tooling this site runs on.

Commission size never affects a score. Platforms we earn nothing from are reviewed under the same rubric as platforms that pay the highest rates. Substack is the standing example: it has no affiliate program, earns this site nothing, and is covered in our newsletter comparisons on exactly the same terms as the platforms that do pay. Where staying on a free plan is the honest answer, we say so.

Ownership: RankFlywheel and the Proven family

ProvenCreatorTools is operated by the maker of RankFlywheel, an SEO automation platform, and of two sibling review sites, ProvenSEOTools (SEO and content tools) and ProvenWPHosting (managed WordPress hosting). All of these connections are stated here and in the disclosure note on every monetized page.

RankFlywheel and ProvenSEOTools appear on this site in one place: the "Grow your audience" section and the matching band at the end of articles. That is owned-property promotion, not affiliate promotion, and it follows a fixed rule: the properties are always labeled as ours, the links carry no affiliate tracking, and the copy states who each product is the wrong fit for. We promote them because creators who have picked a platform usually need an audience next, and we would rather route that honestly than dress it up as an independent recommendation.

How reports are produced

Reports are built on the protocol described in our published methodology: real lists and real sends, workflows exercised end to end, migrations actually performed, and a standardized rubric. Where a platform has not yet completed a full test cycle, the report says so and confines itself to framework judgments built from platform documentation and corroborated operator experience. Research and drafting are AI-assisted; every report is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by the named author before publication. We do not publish invented statistics, fabricated first-person anecdotes, or claims we have not verified.

What vendors cannot buy

Reviews, scores, placement, rankings within roundups, or removal of criticism. Vendors are welcome to flag factual errors or point us at documentation; anything we take from a vendor is treated as a vendor claim and credited as such in the report.
